49 days before Christmas...seriously?

That's insane! 49 days before the most overrated holiday of the year is upon us. This also means I am dreading the snow....lots of snow...in Thunder Bay we probably get a good 5 months of snow each year. Sigh. And there is not one outdoor sport I enjoy that involves the winter. I have never skiied, I can't skate...*grumble*

The past weekend flew right by. Why is it that weekends go by so fast? This week at work is only four days though so I am all about that!! Over the weekend, we of course went to Wired Play and played some Age of Mythology. I won the first game but everyone said it was because they didnt know what type of match we were playing...I don't care, it was a victory for me *giggle*

Saturday we went for dinner at Chicago Joe's. We have like $300 in gift certificates there so hey, free dinner. Um yeah, whatever I ate upset my stomach badly. So with the remainder of our money we are going to rent a poolside room in December and let the kids swim all weekend.
After dinner we went and seen the play "Dracula"... of course this is based on the famous Bram Stokers novel - aren't they all? Well...if you could get over the awful fake English accents (it is bad enough to have one fake English accent in a play nevermind 6 of them for two and a half hours), the over extended hands, and the nudging of my husband who fell asleep half way through...it was okay. lol The stage set was built wonderfully and the effects were pretty good. Well, again with the exception of the glow in the dark bat that flew over the audience to distract everyone while they moved the set around...yeah that was really scarey...lol...

Theater...it really is a hit or miss thing. This one...I would say, there are probably a lot more adaptations of Dracula in the theater that are better but this one was okay. I really wish they had just focused a lot more on Dracula himself other than just talking about him.

Favourite line from the movie: "He...he...he scratched himself and made himself bleed then he...he...he made me put my mouth on it...I feel so unclean"
